Default WFTWE #80....Scaphism....One way to deal with some criminals?

Scaphism

An old Persian method of executing criminals by covering them with honey and letting the sun and the insects finish the job. :O

This could one way of dealing with some of the more despicable elements of humanity amongst us. To take a child's life is bad enough but when the child has died from horrible injuries inflicted it should be punishable by something equally as horrific. A very public scaphism might just make people think twice. ;-)

Come to think of it, some people may think their bank manager deserves a scaphism as well.

to bribe his lil' sis into keeping the tradition going. :8}[/pre]

Now why does that remind me of a fad not too long ago where one covered themselves in oil and lay out in the sun for hours on end, attempting to gain a suntan by crisping the skin like a freshly-fried rasher of bacon? [pre]never me though, far too sensible [/pre]

Got much Rewarewa near by? Would like to place an order in anticipation of the harvest

Hope you used a long lens for that shot Goddie. I remember all too well the breaking the cowards land speed record when I came across a swarm of bee's in the middle of a field with the car some distance away. Well actually they weren't swarming before I happened along but they sure were once the introductions were made It was a fine sunny day too, if I'd kept my eyes peeled for Persians, of course, I would have been forewarned and not ventured out.

Susan, I trust that spreading threads past the limit of ones screen does not fall under despicable acts :8} Close granted. Do you want me to do some lines, here? ;\

Cheers Murray P

As modern society would not allow the Scaphism honey method, even though they truly deserve it, the very least they should get is punishment copied from the efforts of the worker bees, like hard labour for the rest of their life. X-(

Exactly, although I would willingly scaph the scum.

Great shot, Godfather.
Congratulations on the photography.
Have you contacted your friendly local beekeeper to capture the swarm in a box - or are you in Varroa Mite terrain?

Varoa free area here.
Give me your address, I will put them in a plain brown bag and send them.

If I can get the cats to herd them, that is.

I used a zoom lens with a 1.85x teleconverter on a FujiFilm S602Z @ 3 MP setting. With that lens I can actually be in an adjacent suburb....

I decline with sadness.
I fear my heading dog's aroma-sensing acuity will register the scent of your herding cats, which may confuse him.
Instead of mustering the bees into a box, he may shunt them to a feline spot in front of the the living-room fireplace.
But thanks for the offer, anyway.....

(Just as well it's Friday)
