If you are using Adaware it should be able to remove them for you. You may have to set it up in the configuration area. Cydoor is usually installed by Kazaa and similar and the programme will not work without it. I recall seeing somehwere that there is a way to remove cydoor and still run Kazaa, etc. Can't remember where I saw it though.

english please.

adaware will remove cydoor. just check you have the latest version and the latest reference file.

bho deamon, regcleaner won't find the files.....they not designed to.

file search will. cydoor spyware is normally called cd_clint.dll.

OK..........cydoor is the main advertising component in Kazaa. Without it Kazaa will NOT work and with it in there you will be plauged by the annoying popups all the time.
AdAware will find and kill it every time and then your kazaa will reload it and you end up going in circles unless you do one of three things.

1 On AdAware do a full system scan and then before you delete any files check the cydor dll and add it to the excluded files list

2 Download and install Kazaalite which is the ad/spyware free version of Kazaa but be aware that some of the features are disabled in Kazaalite

3 download and install the dummy cydoor dll into your Kazaa which will disable the spyware but fool your Kazaa into thinking all is dandy

If you choose the dummy file you will still have to exclude it from your AdAware or it will be deleted everytime you run it.

Grab the dummy from here
http://www.cexx.org/dummies.htm

or kazaalite from here
http://www.kazaalite.tk/

either u are not putting the tick in the box to delete cydoor or its reinstalling.

can u post what adaware is deleteing (logs are in adaware folder)

search for anything that starts with cd. (cd_clint not cd-clint)

clean out your windows temp files. sometimes you can get a progrm hiding in there that will reinstall spyware each time you reboot.

have you got system restore running??.........do as adaware says and rebbot and then rescan I found that this sometimes helps........grab the fake cydoor file from the link back up the post and insert that which will fix the prob....the site also has full instructions on how to kill etc.

remove the old one, replace it with the fake.

Then you will only be worried that its still there....even though its fake?

You mention many times "search" does not find it. If you are running ME or XP, I presume you have enabled the "system files" option, as it will never find any otherwise?
