Hi,
I am getting an odd error message on my sons computer and am not sure if it is valid or not. the message text reads:

OS: Windows XP Home Edition, SP2
CPU: AuthenticAMD, AMD AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3000+, MMX @ 2000 MHz

Application data:
VmVyc2lvbjogVVVKZFExQlRWbHRFVFVOSFF5c29PU2M1QndBNk pUOCt

ZGk6IDJFNjAwMDANCkVicDogMkIzRTY0Qw0KRXNwOiAyQjNFNT IwDQp

this goes on for a while and doesn't change much!!

The message is title 'error' and has 3 buttons; OK, Copy text (which doesnt work) and submit report which also doesn't seem to do much. Pressing the close app cross in the top right corner makes it go away. AVG doesn't show any virus present
Any ideas?

When does this error message occur?

When you click on the Submit Report button there should be a Details (or similar) link to read the report. Have a look and see what it says in there.

It takes a while in the day to come up, but then comes up regularly - within a few seconds of being deleted sometimes and other times not for a few minutes.
When the submit button is pressed nothing happens - which makes me wonder if it is genuine. Ad aware, spy blaster and AVG find nothing.

A copy of the message is posted herehttp://www.michael-griffin.com/errormsg.JPG

Not seen one like that before. Looks a bit dodgy to me. Does the computer have a third-party firewall installed?

Post a HijackThis log here for analysis and we'll see if that shows up anything - download HJT from here (http://www.majorgeeks.com/HijackThis_d3155.html), extract it to its own folder on the hard drive (not a temp folder), run it, choosing Scan and Save a Log then copy and paste the resulting log here.

Looks like this error is from Nerovision 3. Which is a separate download from Nero.

Is your son using Nerovision to burn MPEG2 files to Nerovision 3 / DVD??

It also looks like this error you're seeing usually happens when transcoding MPEG2 video when u use Nerovision.

Try this patch (http://www.nero.com/nero6/enu/Patch_for_NVE3.html) if he's using Nerovision 3.

Or download the latest version Of Nerovision, which may fix it. 3.1.025.
(which is part of Nero 6 not Nero 7 package).

Checked in Google, which brought up a similar prob (http://forum.videohelp.com/viewtopic.php?p=1320702) in another forum.
